UNDAUNTED
For a few very hard years this word was my mantra.
The word means
-undismayed; not discouraged; not forced to abandon purpose or effort
-undiminished in courage or valor; not giving way to fear
But the truth is, I was often dismayed by everything that had taken place, and I did battle discouragement. I battled fear and doubts. I hurt and was angry, and sometimes "undaunted" sounded more like a mockery than a mantra, and I was determined to be real about all of it in these posts, thus the name, Undaunted Reality. More than that, though, I was determined to live undaunted, not because I'm so great or strong, but because my God is, and no matter what this world looks like, He is the only reality that matters.
I pray I live the reality of Him beautifully undaunted.

Being Courageous Despite Feeling Courage-Less

Hey, loved ones, let's talk some beautiful truth. Courage isn't something you feel. It is something you do. Being courageous isn't feeling a warm fuzzy or all strong and together. It isn't even the absolute certainty you are doing it right.

Being courageous is moving toward answers when the questions are hard.

Being courageous is shaking in your boots but step in front of the giant you have to take down anyway.

It is choosing to do someting when you wonder if anything will help.

Being courageous is believing it can get better and acting on that belief.

None of us ever feel courageous. The most courageous people feel scared and even terrified. They feel like they can't breathe or that they are doing to vomit or that they just might be crazy for doing this "acting not scared" thing. It isn't that courageous people feel none of those things.

We just feel the determination not to let fear dictate our actions or lives most.
YOU are courageous.

Beautiful courageous ones, God be with you in your fight. May He give you strength, comfort, and wisdom.

Stay on the journey!
